Corporate Partners & Foundations
Annual support from corporate partners and foundations allows us to expand our mentoring programs and provide more BPS students with additional support wherever they are learning. These essential partners also promote our work in schools by volunteering through our two corporate volunteer initiatives: Power Lunch and the Big Cheese Reads. Each spring, we are proud to celebrate our partners and their commitment to Boston’s youth at the annual BPIE Gala.
School Partners
For over half a century, we have been a strong and trusted partner of the Boston Public Schools system. In 2020-21, we were proud to partner with 70 schools across the Greater Boston Area, including nearly a dozen Committed Partner Schools who receive priority matching for our academic mentoring services. Support from Committed Partner Schools allows us to deepen engagement within school communities and guarantees mentors will be matched with more students during the year.
The Big Cheese Reads
The Big Cheese Reads (BCR) connects BPS students with city and community leaders through a one-time classroom visit. Leaders talk with students about the professional paths they’ve chosen and share information about their careers. BCR is also our corporate fundraising initiative, which supports all of our in-school academic mentoring programs.

Thanks to donors like you, we are able to provide academic mentoring services free of charge in 70 Boston Public Schools throughout all neighborhoods of Boston.
