We are proud to announce that John Hancock has once again awarded Boston Partners in Education with three charity numbers for the 2016 Boston Marathon®!
Building on the momentum from last year’s triumphant campaign that saw all three of our runners cross the finish line while raising a combined $33,681 towards our work supporting K-12 students in the Boston Public Schools, we are again excited to share this opportunity to run for Team Boston Partners.
There is a $5,000 fundraising commitment for each runner from John Hancock. Our goal for Team Boston Partners is for each member to set a personal fundraising goal of $10,000. All funds raised will support Boston Partners in Education’s programs.
Runners will pay their own registration fee for their marathon number. Team Boston Partners in Education offers:
- Comprehensive training for the team through the Marathon Coalition, led by professional running coach Rick Muhr
- Team Boston Partners in Education running gear
- Camaraderie of training with a committed team
- Joint celebration party at end of race- providing convenient meet up for teammates with family and friends
- Fundraising support
To apply, please download our 2016 Boston Marathon® Application and return completed forms to Mendie Welu at [email protected].
The deadline to apply is October 23rd, 2015. Runners selected to join Team Boston Partners will be notified in early November.
Already have a bib number?
Previously-qualified runners can still join Team Boston Partners and run to support at-risk youth in the Boston Public Schools alongside our members. Please contact Mendie Welu at [email protected] for more information.
