We’re proud to share that Raise Your Glass for BPIE, the organization’s inaugural cocktail party fundraiser, raised over $20,000 for our academic mentoring programs! The event took place on October 24th at Mariel Underground and was a joyous occasion that brought together BPIE staff, supporters, teachers, and volunteers. Though the formal speaking program was short to allow guests to spend time mingling and catching up, guests heard from BPIE staff, volunteers, and Board members, including  PwC Partner and BPIE board clerk Andrew Thorne, and Boston Teachers Union President and BPIE board member Jessica Tang. All of the evening’s speakers made powerful points about the crucial service that BPIE provides to our community, and urged guests to become involved with the organization by volunteering or donating.

Raise Your Glass for BPIE was possible thanks to the generous support of our event sponsors: LABUR, Evangeline Securities, The Pavement Group, The New England Patriots Foundation, GASTON Electrical, Foundation to Be Named Later, Westfield Capital Management, and Rockland Trust. Tito’s Vodka and Samuel Adams also contributed products at the event. We’re also grateful for the help of our event partners FMP Productions and Long Tong Photography.

After such a successful event, the staff at BPIE is reenergized to keep our commitment to the community of Boston through our hallmark academic mentoring programs. We also hope to continue to raise donations that help children all over the city gain access to a more individualized support. The Raise Your Hand for BPIE campaign has a total fundraising goal of $500,000, and the campaign ends on December 31st. Please continue to support us in raising the remaining $215,000 before the end of the year!
