For all current and potential mentors: If you want to learn more about modeling social emotional learning for your students, join Boston Partners in Education for a 2-hour long workshop with Lucinda Mills, an expert in the Boston Public Schools district on this topic.
Lucinda will lead an hour-long presentation, followed by a Q&A session, for our mentor community. Lucinda will define social emotional learning, why it’s important, and how BPS is addressing this element of learning in its schools. This will be an interactive workshop and will help inform your role as a mentor.

We all share a responsibility. There are a lot of us that just need a little help. We just need a little time. My teachers say that the more I learn the more I will succeed. My mentor says, I can be a lot of things: A lawyer. A doctor. An artist. A teacher. But no matter what I do I can always be… a mentor.
