As a Vice President at Boston Financial Data Services, Nicole began working with Boston Partners in Education as a Big Cheese Reader. After running the Boston Marathon with her mom in 2008, Nicole figured it would be a few years before she ran up Heartbreak Hill again—but when asked to run for Boston Partners in Education, she had to take them up on it.
Nicole has completed 25 marathons. This will be the first marathon she’s run to raise money for a charity, and she’s very excited for the new dynamic of training with a team all committed to the same goal.
In 2009, Nicole completed her first Ironman (2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike, followed by a marathon). In light of this and the number of marathons she has run, she thought her supporters may need a little more incentive to donate the big bucks! So, Nicole plans to complete back-to-back marathons. She plans to run the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 19, and then fly to the West Coast to run the Big Sur Marathon on Sunday, April 25. Folks who know Nicole may think that she dreamed up this craziness, but believe it or not, there are 400 other people signed up for this event known as the Boston to Big Sur Challenge! |
